From its earliest beginnings, Project Help Haiti was involved in agriculture. God did not place us in the middle of the "Breadbasket of Haiti" to not be involved in agriculture.
Our current projects include two shade houses to grow vegetable seedlings and fruit trees for planting and distribution. We also have several areas on the Borel campus where demonstration growing areas for new varieties and techniques are tried before moving into field production.
Our latest endeavor is a tilapia farm and hydroponic garden which are meeting with early success and scheduled for expansion. Fresh produce and tilapia can then be made available in the local market where fresh fish is difficult to obtain. Future plans call for the exploration and experimentation with beekeeping.
